The Museum of Coastal Carolina at Ocean Isle Beach is a natural historymuseum . . . for the fun of it!Seven themed galleries offer a variety of dioramas about coastal animals andtheir habitats. Touch the live animals in the tidal touch tank and watchthe birds in the aviary or observe the snake habitat. Hours and programschange seasonally. Call for schedule, hours, and admission fees. Specialprograms include live snakes, sea turtle information, geocaching, birdwalks, outdoor classrooms, and the Bruce Porter Evening Lecture Series.Children's programs include ocean reef and sea turtles, beach safety tipswith the fire truck and sea rescue vehicle, Megabites-shark teethidentification, and touch tank feeding.
